2011 Leaf Legacy

I'm sure most of us have seen Leaf's new Pete Rose product I give it 2 thumbs up nice design and good inscriptions.  Wanted to make everyone aware to check the base cards for reverse negatives they fall 1-2 per case according to leaf.  Doing the math there are 17 total reverse negatives and 300 cases puts their production number at about max 17 each if 1 per case to max 34 if 2 per case so my guess is closer to 25.  And doing a little more math (o by the way that was my major in college) puts the base cards population at 293 give or take.  All assumes a relatively even distribution.  So a pretty challenging master set to put together.

New Design Updates

I have fully integrated the checklist database into the website after tweaking things around and ironing out some problems I think it is ready.  A few changes beside the new look of the blog which you can change up at the top to your liking all items without pictures do not show up in searches seemed silly to have an image site and show no images.

The best part is for me down to 1 database to maintain instead of 3 so expect more updates as I don't have to dread the update process :).  Also the Leaf Legacy items will be online soon just waiting on the finial checklist and grabbing images as they pop up going to be tough as there are a ton of cards and variations.

Got a few new items to add.  Also changing around the search feature added a gallery view so can see pictures much quicker and more items without all the details.

New Search Feature

I have finally gotten one of my goals for the website completed.  I have always wanted to create a searchable database instead of my excel spreadsheet way.  So here it is http://4192cards.com/rose/search/ I basically imported my entire checklist that I've been doing since I've been collecting my first checklist was published in baseball card magazine in 1988 was around 400 items or so today it is 5,345.

So check it out and let me know if you'd like any features added.  For the basic rundown say you'd like to see everything from 1963 select 1963 at the top and then year and search.  Just want to see the magazines select type and magazines.  The pictures are click able to larger size and there are still some picture linking I need done mainly in the non-picture items so just need to wait on them.
